Our dogs and bearded dragons are never scared to go to the veterinarian! They get loved on by all of the staff every appointment, which makes me so much more relaxed since I can’t go in due to COVID. After one of our pups got neutered, they called multiples times to check in on him and give suggestions about him trying to get the cone off! All of the staff I have come into contact with have been amazing! They even did a check on my little pups ear infection even though I wasn’t scheduled with a doctor after I asked last minute! They go above and beyond!

As a child, some of my favorite activities included riding horses, nursing injured and orphaned wildlife to health, and helping animals find their perfect home. Veterinary medicine was a natural path for me.

Growing up in rural Raeford, North Carolina, pets were never simply animals; they were family. Outdoor cats and dogs filled the yard, and compassion came naturally. In second grade, Dr. Richardson befriended a stray cat affectionately named “Poodles,” sharing pieces of a sandwich and, soon after, welcoming an unexpected litter of kittens born beneath the family shed. Those kittens would wait faithfully by the slide each afternoon, ready to greet their favorite person home from school — an early glimpse into the deep bond between people and their pets that still inspires Dr. Richardson today.
